Is there anything we are waiting for as excitedly as a new update of a hot game? Launched as an experimental project with ragdoll animation, an upcoming online team shooter Ravenfield is getting ever more complex and sophisticated with every beta. The goal of the game is rather simple: kill all enemies and grab the rival team’s controlling points. Participants are split into two teams, red and blue, and landed on a fairly big map where they need to unite their efforts and come up with the best possible maneuverers to tip the scales in their favor.
Each player can choose from a vast assortment of weapons, from massive shotguns to noiseless sniper’s rifles. Besides, you can select a vehicle for transportation and here the game also offers a rather large choice. For instance, you can hop into a tank and shower the opponents with explosive bullets or fly over the location in a helicopter to get a bird’s-eye view of the enemy’s position and possibly even blow up a few of their own battle units. But don’t expect to accomplish everything on your own. Teamwork is crucial for success in Ravenfield and you should be able to work together with your allies if you hope to prevail.
The fifth beta added a couple of new features, including quadbikes, semi-automatic long-range rifles, vehicle repair tools and improved helicopter handling. The shooting mechanics was also tweaked introducing damage falloff over distance. We can only hope the next beta to be even more impressive!
